The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), is the “think tank” for McKinsey & Company, the leading global consultancy. Established in 1990, MGI’s mission is to help leaders in the commercial, public, and social sectors develop a deeper understanding of the evolution of the global economy and to provide a fact base that contributes to decision making on critical management and policy issues.

 

MGI combines three disciplines: economics, technology, and management. By integrating these perspectives, MGI is able to gain insights into the microeconomic underpinnings of the long-term macroeconomic and business trends that affect company strategy and policy making. For nearly two decades, MGI has utilized this distinctive “micro-to-macro” approach in research covering more than 20 countries and 30 industry sectors.

 

With primary offices in Beijing, Brussels, Delhi, London, San Francisco, Singapore, and Washington, DC, MGI is a global think tank and is supported by McKinsey’s network of industry and management experts and worldwide partners. In addition, leading economists, including Nobel laureates and policy experts, act as advisers to our work.

 

We are looking to recruit several interns for MGI in Seoul, South Korea. The interns will work directly with MGI professionals in the McKinsey Seoul and Singapore office. Interns must be proficient in English as most of the interaction and reports are in English, and some economics, business or mathematics backgrounds are preferred due to the analytical work required. Schedules (summer, part-time, or longer periods), start dates and terms for the internship will vary based on the qualifications and backgrounds of the candidates.
